Bajaj Auto crossed five million units in a single year for the first time in FY2025-26, and it exports more than a third of what it makes. It is also, by its own statement, the world’s largest manufacturer of three-wheelers.

For anyone with an ITI certificate, Bajaj matters for a second reason. Its Bajaj Manufacturing Systems programme has reached 1,698 ITIs and technical institutes across India and certified over one lakh students. That is the deepest ITI engagement of any manufacturer covered in this series.

Bajaj also publishes the clearest recruitment-fraud notice in the Indian auto industry — naming the exact fake email addresses being used against candidates. That section alone is worth reading before you apply anywhere.

This guide covers the plants, the roles, eligibility, realistic pay and how to apply. It is a career guide, not a vacancy notice.

Industry Overview

Bajaj occupies a distinctive position. It is not the largest two-wheeler maker in India by volume, but it is the most export-oriented and the dominant three-wheeler manufacturer — and it builds premium European motorcycle brands under contract in Pune.

The Company and a Date Worth Getting Right

Bajaj Auto’s business traces to 29 November 1945, when it was incorporated as Bachhraj Trading Corporation, renamed Bajaj Auto Ltd in 1960 and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange the same year.

The company that files today’s reports, however, was incorporated in 2007 following the group’s restructuring. Both dates are accurate — 1945 is the heritage, 2007 is the present listed entity. Job listings that state one without the other are usually just copying each other.

Scale

For FY2025-26 Bajaj reported turnover of ₹60,295 crore, with standalone revenue from operations of ₹58,732 crore, up 17.4%. Exports accounted for 34% of turnover across more than 100 countries.

Volumes reached 5,117,667 units — the company’s first five-million-unit year. That comprised 4,316,850 two-wheelers and 800,817 three-wheelers, with exports of 2,250,183 units.

The export share is the number to notice. At 34%, Bajaj is far more export-dependent than Hero at 7.4%, which makes its production more exposed to overseas demand but also holds it to a wider range of regulatory standards.

The Five Plants

PlantLocationWhat it makesCapacity
WalujWaluj, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, MaharashtraMotorcycles, plus commercial vehicles and three-wheelers3,720,000
Chakan-1Chakan Industrial Area, Mahalunge, PuneMotorcycles including Pulsar variants900,000
Chakan-2Chakan Industrial Area, Nanekarwadi, PuneKTM, Husqvarna and Triumph premium motorcycles300,000
AkurdiAkurdi, PuneChetak electric scooters and Yulu480,000
PantnagarIIE Pantnagar, Udham Singh Nagar district, UttarakhandCT, Platina, Freedom and Pulsar motorcycles1,800,000

Total installed capacity is 7.2 million units a year, all in India. Bajaj has no overseas manufacturing plants.

The Chakan-2 Distinction

Chakan-2 is worth singling out. It builds KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph motorcycles — premium European brands manufactured in Pune. Premium motorcycle assembly involves tighter tolerances, more complex components and higher finish standards than commuter production.

For a technician, experience there is differentiated. It is a smaller operation at 300,000 units, but the skills carry a premium.

Current Demand

Bajaj’s hiring is driven by record volumes rather than new plant announcements, and its workforce structure is unusual for the sector.

The Workforce Structure — a Notable Contrast

Bajaj’s statutory disclosure for FY2025-26 shows something markedly different from its largest competitor.

CategoryPermanentOther than permanentTotal
Employees2,7302682,998
Workers2,501972,598
Combined5,2313655,596

Just 97 of Bajaj’s 2,598 disclosed workers were on other-than-permanent terms. For comparison, Hero MotoCorp disclosed 30,120 non-permanent workers in the same reporting year.

Be careful how you read that. Companies classify plant labour differently, and a like-for-like conclusion about working conditions cannot be drawn from the disclosure alone. But on the face of its own filing, Bajaj’s disclosed worker population is overwhelmingly permanent.

Two Different Employee Numbers

Bajaj’s Annual Report states 8,073 direct employees as of 31 March 2026, including 708 women — up 15% year on year, with the company noting that almost 66% of its women employees work in manufacturing plants. Bajaj Auto Technology Ltd adds a further 496.

That figure differs from the 5,596 in the statutory disclosure because the two use different counting bases. Both are the company’s own numbers. Treat them as complementary rather than contradictory, and note which one any article is quoting.

The women-in-manufacturing point is worth flagging. A company reporting that two-thirds of its women employees work in plants is unusual in Indian automotive manufacturing.

Investment Direction

Bajaj’s recent capital has gone into subsidiaries and its European motorcycle interests rather than new Indian plants — around ₹2,300 crore into group companies, an €880 million package supporting the KTM restructuring, and a €125 million capital increase in its Netherlands holding company. Manufacturing capacity expansion capex was around ₹500 crore.

The Annual Report identifies electric vehicle and premium motorcycle capacity expansion as priorities, but attaches no figures, timeline or job numbers. No new-plant announcement has been made.

Practically, that means hiring at Bajaj is driven by volume growth and replacement rather than by a greenfield project you can plan around.

Job Roles

Bajaj builds motorcycles, three-wheelers, electric scooters and premium European brands, so its plants contain a wider role mix than a single-product manufacturer.

Production Roles

  • Frame Welding Operator — robotic and manual chassis welding
  • Press Shop Operator — sheet metal stamping
  • Paint Shop Operator — pre-treatment, coating and finishing
  • Engine Assembly Operator
  • Vehicle Assembly Operator — motorcycles and scooters
  • Three-Wheeler Assembly Operator — a distinct line at Waluj
  • Premium Motorcycle Assembly Technician — KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph at Chakan-2
  • Electric Scooter Assembly Technician — Chetak at Akurdi
  • Machine Shop and Die Casting Operator

Quality and Testing Roles

  • Quality Inspector — in-process and end-of-line
  • Engine Test Technician
  • Metrology Technician
  • Export Quality Inspector — significant given 34% export share and 100-plus markets
  • Supplier Quality Assistant

Maintenance and Engineering Roles

  • Maintenance Technician — mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
  • Robotics and Automation Technician
  • Die and Tool Maintenance Technician
  • Utilities Operator

Supervisory and Staff Roles

  • Team Leader and Shift Supervisor
  • Production and Process Engineer
  • EHS Officer
  • Export Documentation and Logistics roles

Daily Responsibilities

Two-wheeler lines run fast, and Bajaj’s product mix means the pace varies considerably between plants.

A Typical Line Operator Shift

The shift opens with a handover, a safety briefing and a check of tools and torque equipment. The line runs to a fixed takt, and each operator completes a short defined sequence before the unit advances.

Commuter motorcycle lines at Waluj and Pantnagar run at high volume and short cycle times. Premium assembly at Chakan-2 runs slower with longer cycles and more careful work — a genuinely different job despite the same job title.

A Typical Three-Wheeler Line Shift

Three-wheeler assembly at Waluj involves heavier components and longer cycle times than two-wheeler work, with more manual fitting per station. Bajaj built over 800,000 three-wheelers in FY2025-26, so this is a substantial operation rather than a sideline.

A Typical Maintenance Shift

Maintenance teams work preventive schedules during planned stoppages and respond to breakdowns during running hours. At high line speeds, response time is the dominant metric.

Working Conditions to Expect

  • Rotational shifts covering the full day
  • Fixed cycle times and documented standard operating procedures
  • Mandatory safety shoes, gloves, ear and eye protection
  • Standing work with high repetition on commuter lines
  • Company transport and canteen, standard at plants of this scale
  • A workplace where women make up a meaningful share of the plant workforce, by the company’s own reporting

Required Skills

Bajaj screens for the same practical competencies as its peers, with added weight on export-grade quality.

Technical Skills

  • Reading work instructions, standard operating procedures and basic drawings
  • Correct use of torque wrenches, nut runners and hand tools
  • Measurement with vernier caliper, micrometer and gauges
  • Basic pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical safety
  • Accurate recording of production and quality data
  • Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, poka-yoke and total productive maintenance

Safety and Compliance

  • Correct PPE use without prompting
  • Lockout-tagout discipline before machine intervention
  • Stopping and reporting rather than improvising a fix
  • Emergency response familiarity
  • Honest near-miss reporting

Language and Location

Marathi and Hindi are the working languages at Waluj, Chakan and Akurdi. Hindi dominates at Pantnagar. Functional English matters throughout because work instructions, quality records and export documentation are in English.

Personal Qualities That Get You Hired

  • Attendance discipline, tracked closely and weighted heavily at confirmation
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts
  • Physical stamina for high-repetition work
  • Consistency, particularly on export-bound production
  • Team behaviour and clean handovers

Education Requirements

Bajaj does not publish plant-level eligibility criteria, but its ITI engagement tells you a great deal about what it values.

After 10th Standard

A 10th pass alone is not a practical entry point. The productive step is a Government ITI trade, which takes one to two years and costs very little at a state ITI — and Bajaj’s own programmes reach a very large number of those institutes.

The ITI Route

These are the Craftsmen Training Scheme trades designated by the Directorate General of Training that map onto two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing. Bajaj does not publish a trade list, so treat this as sector guidance.

ITI tradeDurationWhere it fits
Fitter2 yearsAssembly, mechanical maintenance
Welder1 yearFrame welding
Electrician2 yearsPlant electricals
Turner2 yearsMachine shop
Machinist2 yearsEngine component machining
Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)2 yearsAssembly, vehicle testing

Electronics Mechanic2 yearsControls; Chetak EV systems at Akurdi
Instrument Mechanic2 yearsCalibration and instrumentation
Tool and Die Maker2 yearsDie casting, press tooling
Painter (General)2 yearsPaint shop
Technician Mechatronics2 yearsRobotics and automation

After 12th Standard

A 12th pass with Science combined with an ITI certificate is a solid profile. On its own, a 12th pass suits stores, dispatch, packing and administrative support roles — and with 2.25 million units exported annually, export logistics is a substantial function here.

Diploma and Degree Routes

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile or Mechatronics — technician and junior engineering roles
  • B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics or Production — engineering roles in manufacturing and quality
  • Campus routes — Bajaj runs named campus and early-career programmes including Offroad, Torq Challenge and OHM

Documents to Keep Ready

  • ITI certificate with NCVT or SCVT marking, or diploma marksheets
  • 10th and 12th certificates
  • Aadhaar and PAN
  • Bank account details
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Any previous experience or relieving letters

Professional Certifications

The trade certificate decides eligibility. Bajaj’s own certification programmes add a further layer.

Core Certification

  • National Trade Certificate (NTC) — from a Government ITI under the Craftsmen Training Scheme, with NCVT or SCVT marking
  • National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) — on completing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961
  • Bajaj Manufacturing Systems certification — Bajaj’s own programme, which has certified over one lakh students across 1,698 ITIs and institutes

Safety Certifications

  • Industrial safety certificate or diploma
  • First aid and fire safety training
  • Forklift and material handling equipment licences
  • High-voltage safety training, relevant to Chetak electric scooter production at Akurdi

Quality and Process Certifications

  • IATF 16949 awareness, the automotive quality management standard
  • ISO 9001 internal auditor training
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Yellow Belt
  • Total Productive Maintenance fundamentals

Training Programs

Bajaj publishes more detail on its skilling programmes than any other manufacturer in this series, and several are directly relevant to ITI students.

Bajaj Manufacturing Systems — the ITI Programme

This is the one that matters most for readers of this guide. BMS has reached 1,698 ITIs and technical institutes across India and certified over one lakh students.

If you are studying at a Government ITI, there is a meaningful chance your institute is already part of this network. It is worth asking your principal or placement officer directly whether your ITI participates and how to enrol.

Bajaj Engineering Skills Training

BEST is the company’s flagship skilling investment — over ₹120 crore spent, more than 20 partner institutions, 10 operational centres and 1,860 students certified.

Bajaj Service Technician Excellence Program

STEP operates 18 centres across nine states with 750 students enrolled, and Bajaj has stated a target of 60 centres nationwide. This programme is service-oriented, feeding dealership and workshop careers rather than plant production.

Bajaj Sakhi Skills Kendra

A vocational training initiative for women located near Bajaj’s plant locations. Read alongside the company’s reporting that almost 66% of its women employees work in manufacturing plants, this looks like a deliberate pipeline rather than a token programme.

Campus and Early-Career Programmes

Bajaj runs several named programmes for students and early-career candidates — Offroad, Torq Challenge and OHM. It also awards the RRBSWE scholarship, with 506 women scholars in its inaugural cohort.

Apprenticeship Stipend Rates

Where apprenticeships are offered by any employer in India, statutory minimum stipends apply. Following the revision effective September 2025:

CategoryMinimum monthly stipend
Class 10 pass-outs₹8,200
Class 12 pass-outs₹9,600
ITI / National or State Certificate holders₹9,600
Vocational or 2-year diploma holders₹9,600
Technician (diploma) apprentices₹10,900
Graduate and degree apprentices₹12,300

Salary Guide

Bajaj publishes no pay bands. This section separates what is documented from what is indicative.

What Is Documented

Apprentice stipends carry the statutory minimums above. On company scale, Bajaj reported turnover of ₹60,295 crore and net worth of ₹34,975 crore for FY2025-26.

Permanent workmen are covered by state minimum wage notifications and, where union agreements exist, by wage settlements that are not published.

Indicative Ranges by Role

The ranges below are broad indicative figures for two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing in India generally. They are not Bajaj figures and should be confirmed at interview.

RoleIndicative annual range (CTC)
Apprentice (stipend basis)₹1.15 – ₹1.5 lakh
Contract operator₹1.8 – ₹2.6 lakh
Permanent line operator₹2.4 – ₹4.2 lakh
Premium motorcycle assembly technician₹3.0 – ₹5.0 lakh
Maintenance technician₹3.0 – ₹5.2 lakh
Robotics / automation technician₹3.5 – ₹5.5 lakh
Quality inspector₹2.6 – ₹4.5 lakh
Diploma engineer trainee₹2.4 – ₹3.6 lakh
Team leader / shift supervisor₹4.0 – ₹7.5 lakh
Graduate engineer₹5.5 – ₹11.0 lakh

Bajaj’s public notice specifically warns that fake recruiters quote attractive salary figures. Treat any precise CTC claim not appearing on the official careers page as a warning sign rather than information.

What Actually Increases Your Pay

  • Conversion to the permanent rolls, though Bajaj’s disclosed worker population is already largely permanent
  • Moving into premium motorcycle assembly at Chakan-2, where the skill premium is real
  • Multi-skilling into maintenance, robotics or die and tool work
  • EV competence, given Chetak production at Akurdi
  • Shift allowances, overtime and production incentives
  • Promotion into team leader and supervisory grades

Employee Benefits

Bajaj plants are organised-sector employers, so a substantial part of the package is statutory.

Statutory Benefits

  • Provident Fund (EPF) — employer and employee contributions
  • Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) — medical cover below the wage threshold
  • Gratuity — payable after five years of continuous service
  • Paid leave — earned, casual and sick leave under the Factories Act and state rules
  • Bonus — under the Payment of Bonus Act, where applicable
  • Maternity benefit — under the Maternity Benefit Act

Common Plant Benefits

Large two-wheeler plants in India typically provide subsidised canteen meals, company transport, uniforms and protective equipment, group medical insurance, shift allowances and production or attendance incentives.

Given that Bajaj’s disclosed worker population is largely permanent, a higher proportion of its shop-floor workforce receives these directly rather than through a contractor — which is a material difference from some peers.

What to Confirm Before Accepting

  • Whether the role is apprentice, contract, fixed-term or permanent
  • Whether the contract is directly with Bajaj Auto or through a manpower contractor
  • Whether the figure quoted is stipend, gross, CTC or take-home
  • Shift pattern and how shift allowance is calculated
  • Whether transport and canteen are free or deducted
  • Criteria and timeline for confirmation

Career Progression

Progression runs through defined grades, with the added dimension of moving between product lines.

The Shop-Floor Ladder

StageTypical durationRole
EntryYear 0–1Apprentice or trainee operator
ConfirmedYear 1–3Permanent operator or technician
Multi-skilledYear 3–7Senior operator, relief operator, maintenance technician
SupervisoryYear 7–12Team leader, shift supervisor
ManagementYear 12+Section head, assistant manager, shop functions

Moving Between Product Lines

This is a genuine Bajaj-specific advantage. Within one employer you can gain experience across commuter motorcycles, three-wheelers, premium European brands and electric scooters.

Premium assembly at Chakan-2 and electric assembly at Akurdi are the two most differentiated skill sets. Both are worth actively seeking out, because they are scarcer and more portable than commuter line experience.

How to Move Faster

First, target the differentiated lines. Ask about Chakan-2 and Akurdi rather than accepting whichever posting comes up.

Second, use the BMS certification if your ITI participates. Company-recognised certification is a genuine advantage at shortlisting.

Third, take on visible improvement work — kaizen, quality circles and total productive maintenance activity feed into supervisory selection.

Top Employers

Bajaj’s plants sit in two clusters — Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.

Major Two-Wheeler Manufacturers in India

  • Bajaj Auto — Waluj, Chakan, Akurdi, Pantnagar
  • Hero MotoCorp — Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh
  • Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India — Manesar, Tapukara, Narsapura, Vithalapur
  • TVS Motor Company — Hosur, Mysuru, Nalagarh
  • Royal Enfield — Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu
  • Suzuki Motorcycle India — Gurugram
  • Yamaha Motor India — Surajpur and Chennai

The Pune Cluster

This is one of India’s densest manufacturing regions. Bajaj’s Chakan and Akurdi plants sit alongside Tata Motors, Mahindra, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai’s Talegaon facility, plus a very large tier-one supplier belt.

For anyone in or near Pune, that concentration means many employers within commuting distance — which is worth more than any single application.

The Uttarakhand Cluster

Pantnagar sits in an industrial area that also hosts Tata Motors and other manufacturers, with Hero’s Haridwar plant elsewhere in the state.

How to Apply to Bajaj Auto

Applications go through the official careers page at bajajauto.com/careers, which includes a job search, a drop-résumé facility and job alerts.

Bajaj states explicitly that genuine openings appear only on its own careers site and its official LinkedIn company page. Nowhere else.

How to Spot Fake Bajaj Auto Job Offers

Bajaj publishes the most detailed recruitment-fraud notice of any manufacturer in this series, under a “Public Notice: Job Fraud Alert” banner on its careers section. It is worth reading in full, but the essentials are:

  • Bajaj Auto does not charge money for recruitment under any circumstances
  • Genuine openings appear only on bajajauto.com/careers and the official Bajaj Auto LinkedIn page
  • Legitimate recruitment emails come only from the @bajajauto.co.in domain
  • The notice names actual fake addresses in use, including a Gmail address and a Yahoo address impersonating Bajaj recruitment

That last point is unusually useful. Bajaj is telling you the exact pattern — a free email service dressed up with the company name in the address. Any variation on that theme is fraud.

Red flags Bajaj lists:

  • Application fees, training fees or deposits of any kind
  • Requests for your bank details
  • Interviews conducted only over WhatsApp, Telegram or social media direct messages

Verify like this:

  • Check the opening on bajajauto.com/careers before responding to anything
  • Check the sender domain character by character — it must be @bajajauto.co.in
  • Bajaj publishes a verification phone number and customer service email on the notice itself

If money is demanded, report it on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or call the cyber crime helpline 1930.

Industries Hiring

Bajaj plant skills transfer widely across Indian manufacturing.

Three developments will shape these jobs.

Electrification

The Chetak electric scooter is manufactured at Akurdi with capacity of 480,000 units a year alongside Yulu production. Bajaj’s Annual Report identifies electric vehicle capacity expansion as a priority, though without published figures or timelines.

High-voltage safety and battery systems competence is the skill area with the clearest trajectory, and Akurdi is where that experience is available inside Bajaj.

Premium Motorcycles

Chakan-2 builds KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph. Bajaj committed an €880 million package supporting the KTM restructuring and names premium motorcycle capacity expansion as a priority.

Premium assembly is a differentiated skill with a genuine premium attached. If you are choosing where to build experience at Bajaj, this is worth targeting.

Exports

At 34% of turnover and 2.25 million units, exports are central to Bajaj’s model in a way they are not for most Indian two-wheeler makers. Export-oriented production holds to broader regulatory standards, which makes the experience more portable — and it also means overseas demand affects production volumes and therefore hiring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Bajaj Auto recruitment 2026 officially open?

Bajaj recruits through its careers page rather than through an annual notification or exam. The company states explicitly that genuine openings appear only on bajajauto.com/careers and its official LinkedIn page. Any notice elsewhere claiming a Bajaj recruitment drive should be treated as suspect.

Where are Bajaj Auto plants located?

Bajaj has five plants, all in India — Waluj in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district of Maharashtra; Chakan-1 and Chakan-2 in Pune; Akurdi in Pune; and Pantnagar in Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand. Total installed capacity is 7.2 million units a year.

Which Bajaj plant makes KTM and Triumph motorcycles?

Chakan-2 at Nanekarwadi in the Chakan Industrial Area, Pune, builds KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph premium motorcycles, with capacity of 300,000 units a year.

Which Bajaj plant makes the Chetak electric scooter?

The Chetak electric scooter is manufactured at Akurdi in Pune, alongside Yulu, with capacity of 480,000 units a year.

How many people work at Bajaj Auto?

Two figures are published on different bases. Bajaj’s statutory disclosure for FY2025-26 records 2,998 employees and 2,598 workers, a total of 5,596. Its Annual Report states 8,073 direct employees as of 31 March 2026, including 708 women.

Does Bajaj Auto use contract workers?

Very few, by its own disclosure. Bajaj reported 97 other-than-permanent workers against 2,501 permanent workers for FY2025-26. For comparison, Hero MotoCorp disclosed 30,120 other-than-permanent workers in the same period. Companies classify plant labour differently, so this is a disclosure comparison rather than a judgement about conditions.

Does Bajaj Auto charge a fee for recruitment?

No. Bajaj publishes a Job Fraud Alert stating it does not charge money for recruitment under any circumstances, that genuine openings appear only on its careers site and official LinkedIn page, and that legitimate emails come only from the @bajajauto.co.in domain. It names specific fake Gmail and Yahoo addresses being used by fraudsters. Report demands for money at cybercrime.gov.in or on helpline 1930.

What is Bajaj Manufacturing Systems?

BMS is Bajaj’s ITI-facing skilling programme. It has reached 1,698 ITIs and technical institutes across India and certified over one lakh students. If you are at a Government ITI, ask your placement officer whether your institute participates.

Which ITI trade is best for a Bajaj Auto plant job?

Bajaj does not publish a trade list. Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist and Mechanic Motor Vehicle are the trades most commonly recruited across two-wheeler manufacturing. Electronics Mechanic and Technician Mechatronics are increasingly relevant given Chetak electric production at Akurdi.

Does Bajaj Auto hire women for plant jobs?

Yes. Bajaj reported 708 women among its direct employees as of March 2026, up 15% year on year, and stated that almost 66% of its women employees work in manufacturing plants. It also runs the Bajaj Sakhi Skills Kendra, a vocational training initiative for women near its plant locations.

Final Summary

Bajaj Auto runs five Indian plants with 7.2 million units of capacity, crossed five million units sold for the first time in FY2025-26, and exports 34% of turnover to over 100 countries. It is India’s dominant three-wheeler manufacturer and builds KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph motorcycles at Chakan.

Two things make it distinctive for a job seeker. The first is its workforce disclosure: 97 other-than-permanent workers against 2,501 permanent ones, a sharply different profile from some competitors. Read that carefully rather than as a verdict — classification practices differ — but on its own filing, Bajaj’s disclosed shop-floor workforce is overwhelmingly permanent.

The second is Bajaj Manufacturing Systems, which has reached 1,698 ITIs and certified over one lakh students. If you are at a Government ITI anywhere in India, there is a real chance your institute is in that network. Ask your placement officer — it is the single most actionable step in this guide.

Within Bajaj, target the differentiated lines. Premium motorcycle assembly at Chakan-2 and electric scooter production at Akurdi build scarcer, more portable skills than commuter line work. Ask about them specifically rather than accepting whatever posting comes up.

Finally, Bajaj’s fraud notice is the best in the industry and worth using as a general template. Genuine emails come only from @bajajauto.co.in. Genuine openings appear only on bajajauto.com/careers and its official LinkedIn page. The company does not charge money for recruitment under any circumstances. Anything else — however convincing the letterhead — is fraud.
